deleted a post - feedburner resent an older one

i deleted a post from my blog(it was the most recent post at the time), and then immediately after feedburner emailed an older post from a few months ago out. this mishap didn’t appear in my iGoogle feed and feedmedic didn’t show any problems.

is this something to do with textpattern or is it feedburner? i need to know in future if i delete another post will this happen again cause it’s sort of embarrassing.

Re: deleted a post - feedburner resent an older one

Hmm, well, Textpattern would have reported that the feed was changed (which it was – there’s a post no longer there). However, it looks like FeedBurner just grabs the latest post in the feed, without checking to see if it was already handled. There’s nothing we can do about that on our side of things. Was this your RSS feed or your Atom feed?

Textpattern does supply a id/guid with each entry.
