image-category of article_image
I’m mixing blog entries and photographs on my site. I assign article-categories only to“regular posts” under the article section. For the photo section, I assign image-categories to photos used as article images. I would then like to display the image-category of the article_image on the photolog entries. In other words, I want to use different category sets for different sections.
<txp:category type=“image” title=“1” />
does not work (and why am I not surprised?), any ideas? Thanks :)

Re: image-category of article_image
I found a workaround (utilizing category1 & category2) for my project, but still it would be nice to be able to just use image categories…

You could use a custom field for the article-image categories??

Re: image-category of article_image
That would work, eventually, but in this case I wanted to choose from a set of predefined values, instead of typing the same data every time I create a new entry. Categories sound nice for this :)
Here’s what I do now: I create all categories as article-categories, regardless of their intentions. Since there are two category slots for each article, I can then assign categories(meant for articles) to article-section posts with Category1, and categories(meant for images) to photo-section posts with Category2. I also have all image categories under a parent category, so they wont mix with the article categories.
Not as slick as I would like it to be, but for now it gets the job done. Plus tru_tags rock for further labeling :)

I think upm_image can do what you want.
