Seeking Txp Pros forum

In the “Seeking Txp Pros” there were three replies from “alpha” members… Their own websites, although wonderfully designed, do not seem to be using txp.

They might be legit or we might be facing a problem here from people fishing or work…

Just a thought… no answer as to if and how it should be handled.

>Edit… Checking further viking on http://www.vikingkarwur.com/ seems to be the one i am dubious about.

Re: Seeking Txp Pros forum

Well he has just posted here which would be a little odd if he doesn’t use it and I note on his site that he is an “expert” with several CMS including Textpattern. But…

Re: Seeking Txp Pros forum

I agree it looks more like spam. Someone who would want the job wouldn’t also just post there but email the poster directly I think. And most of the original posts were quite old.

Maybe it would help to close posts in that forum sooner?

Stuart, I hate to disappoint you but there is a similar post here so I don’t think he was serious about that ;)

Re: Seeking Txp Pros forum

It’s spam. He posted all of those in about 10 minutes.

Els, locking posts in that area after 3-4 months of silence wouldn’t be a bad idea. I think it’s safe to assume that they found the help they needed or ditched the project.

Re: Seeking Txp Pros forum

I’m not disappointed Els. You know what my attributes are. ;)

And yes you are right. Most serious people would go straight to email.

Michael – I don’t think you would need to wait that long. Most of these people are in a hurry.

LOL, I forgot :)

I think two weeks would be enough. Most people want to have the job done yesterday ;) If they have more time, they can always say so.

Re: Seeking Txp Pros forum

He has been vanished. :)

It’s sub-form has locked against replies, so if the topic has been moved there it can’t be spammed. Anyone want to be the moderator of that forum so it can be kept on top of?

I could do it, it’s not that busy ;) But maybe you could add something to your sticky post about this, for instance that posts that are not reported as ‘solved’ will be moved to Past inquiries after let’s say two weeks of inactivity?

Edit: okay forget this, Steve was first ;)
