This really would make things easier I think.

well i’m personally editing a core file (txp_form.php) to try and output the form list like in guiguibonbon’s screenshot. maybe if it works and causes no issues it could be submitted as a ‘patch’ for core. will report back if/when i have something.

Nice. Certainly would make things a bit less cluttered over there.
And of course, as an optional (non-core/plugin?) extra, once there are usable DOM handles on each heading there’s no reason why clicking a section heading couldn’t toggle the collapse status of that group for those people that might not need, say, the comments or links sections on a site. A simple delimited cookie could perhaps hold the open/closed status of all groups.
