[contrib] Blogmap
Since my first GoogleMap Project (TXP Blogmap) a learned a lot about Maps & AJAX stuff and i would really like to do a new version.
After i looked into my calendar, it seems like, that i can start in February..
But there are some questions:
Do you want a new map?
Where to sever it? Is txpmag.com the right place
Is anyone interested to get involved?
And what should be implemented?
The actual map is working with little xml served by each txp site that is listed on the map.
I would like to keep this decentralized aggregation.
What to you thinking?

yah i would say txpmag.com is pretty much dead. welovetxp is awesome.

Will this mean we need to modify the plug-in at some point or are you going to update it?

I will update the map itself and the plugin bas_lets_see_yours.
I played a little yesterday and i think the map needs:
- Image must be chached. The map is pretty slow while getting all images
- Instead of Google Maps EZ i will use my own code..
- Display entries by designer while having some guy with more then one page
- Display by tag
- Maybe having a kind of voting
- Admin site google map with drag&drop marker
- Front site:
- While the position is already saved, maybe the plugin can bring a map to front site
- While have many information in the db, perhaps <txp:bas_vcard/> is nice to have in addition
But right now i have no plan what o do;)

It’s a pitty that my site name is on russian and txp blogmap doesn’t want to show it. May in this way it’s reasonable to add an ability to override site’s name for this plugin?
Providing help in hacking ATM! Come to courses and don’t forget to bring us notebook and hammer! What for notebook? What a kind of hacker you are without notebok?

If there is the opportunity to add these strange charsets i will add them.
As far as i remember txpmag.com is driven by an latin database for reasons i can’t remember….
But i notice that there should be an option to override the default page title
