How to make Txp XHTML 1.0 strict?
hello,
I’m only a newbie with Textpattern which I rather like (love textile, and the freedom txp gives you) and it seems a pity Txp offers transitional only. What’s keeping Txp from being XHTML 1.0 strict? Is it something i can easily change, and keep that way on the next upgrade?

You can use whatever you like in the pages (templates). What ships with a default TXP install is only an example to get you started. Just change your doc type to strict, its not a problem at all.

Thanks jstubbs, but I was wondering if there was some XHTML in the forms or in some PHP that I wouldn’t be aware of — I hardly know anything about PHP, Shame on me!

Not on the front side of TXP. What you out in the pages and forms is up to you. There is a table in the comments form, but apart from that, not much at all. TXP gives you the freedom to put in your templates what you want to put in.

okay, thank you jstubbs :-)
Actually I can see one element that stops Txp from going XHTML strict: the absence of <q>; textile quotation marks aren’t converted into the Q tag.
Of course we’re free to use the Q tag in writing our articles and I’m aware IE6 ignores this tag — I couldn’t care less.
