what is textpattern?
I have a real fundamental question about textpattern that i cant find the answer to. How does it work? A or B or something else?
A: I build my site normally then uploaded it to the server. When textpattern is installed it pulls in the files and makes them editable
B: I build my site normally then save to code into textpattern and place the image folder in the right place. So i never actually FTP upload my site. Just the images.
I hope im being clear on theses two scenarios. My idea scenario would be A.

Re: what is textpattern?
Hi
Textpattern and almost other CMS work like that:
Build template page (HTML/CSS) , install Txp on your host, integrate the template into txp (using txp web interface) upload images (via txp web interface or ftp it depend) and then begin filling data (articles).
Cheers

There’s also option “C” where you install Textpattern first then design and build your site from within the TXP Admin.
