Great design and outfit indeed, and the content is well organized and easy to read. And also the content is quite good and it owns good meaning, althought it ain’t for me.

Cheers!

I really like it – the colors are great, the layout is good, love the borders and how it scrolls with the content. the use of the panoramic images and how it changes -they’re cool.

Re: Redesign of missionyear.org using Textpattern

Hey Doug,

Nice design, these are my findings:

a) I get a scrollbar along the bottom of my browser window, it’s set to 1024px width.
b) All the header images are around 80kb – I copied one to my local computer, opened up XnView and saved it, it reduced it by half by saving the jpg at 80% quality.
c) The site seems to lag a bit, as in it’s thinking or something – you may not see this cause your browser has things cached from your work on the site.

Awesome pics by the way:

Hey Everyone, thanks for the comments!

hcgv – What browser are you using? I haven’t seen the bottom scrollbar when testing out the site. I do notice the lag, I don’t know if its with the navigation code (its kind of complex, using thm_if_article) or the sifr or something. I will definitely look into resizing the jpgs, thanks!

Very nicely laid out site. I like the videos, how they are done. Which plugins did you use for this site?
