All
Take two is available now. Link is in the head post.
Sorry, no time to develop this further as of yet but there is an added sweetener for those using the MLP pack. <grin>

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Steve,
It’s working wonderfully. Also your planned features are really appreciated.
I must say I always use ied_hide_in_admin (which is working well for me) but having the possibility to choose which elements to hide on a per-section-basis would make a big difference.
Just a minor request: will it be possible to hide also other elements (status, categories, sections and excerpt) in the “write tab” just like ied_hide_in_admin does?
I noticed also – as expected – that the plugin still conflicts with glz_custom_fields (if both plugins are active glz_custom_fields works and sed_section_fields doesn’t).
Yes, I know sed_section_fields is going to be integrated in glz_custom_fields (and this is a good news) but I would have preferred the two plugins could coexist together so they can have an indipendent development.
Anyway I know I’m asking too much: this is still one of the best plugin of the year (together with glz_custom_fields) IMHO so thank you for your work, I’m sure it will be really appreciated by many.
Cheers

Can the two be used together?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Is there a way I can make this work along with rss_admin_show_adv_opts?
Thanks

Unless you want to auto-open the “More” section on the right hand bar there is no need for rss_admin_show_adv_options. This plugin opens them by default.

This worked, thanks! I have rss_admin_show_adv_options disabled now.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Net-Carver said (in the head of this post) :
Planned Features…
p. 1. Allow individual sections to be hidden from the content > write > section drop-down — essentially allowing you to filter out static pages from your users’ lists of available sections.
p. 2. Allow per-section control of the visibility of remaining advanced options on the write tab.
GREAT! GREAT! GREAT :) :) :)

Can this plug-in hide the keyword box too? I read a few pages of this thread and didn’t see it, so sorry if it was covered already.

i believe something like this is planned for the plugin. however if you can’t wait you can simply use ied_hide_in_admin to hide whatever you want in the write tab.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields
Thanks, I use that plug in too.
I use keywords in a few sections but not in others, so it doesn’t work for now.
I can wait for a future release or the merge with that other plugin.
