OK, thanks for all your help. I think I’ll go back to your first solution, redirecting everything to /tag/. But I’ve learned a lot from your answers (again). I am going to study regular expressions some more when I can find the time; I’ve got the feeling it can’t be too hard once ‘the quarter falls’ :) (don’t know if that is correct english…)
