Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
Correctly, “Enable editor for article body” is set to yes. “Show editor toggle” set to yes. But i can see the hak_tinymce WYSIWYG work.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
@plugmas: Is the path where the plugin is looking for the tiny_mce.js correct? If it can’t find the javascript nothing will happen.
@Anton: I was hoping someone else could say if they were experiencing this. I’ll see if I can reproduce it. Can you provide some steps that trigger the behavior you are seeing?

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
TinyMCE 3.0 alpha 1 was released. It was completly rewrite (sripts reduced by 33%)… I have to try if plugin will be compatible with tinymce 3.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
Well, i think the tiny_mce path is correct…
I found under the write tag on the left “toggle editor” with two option “article” and “summary” but the WYSIWYG editor do not appear.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
The toggle editor part is not driven by the tiny_mce javascript. It comes from a second javascript which is loaded directly from TXP.
Where is TinyMCE installed and what is in the field in the admin panel? Are you running adBlock or anything like that? People have reported conflicts with adBlock before. If you are running Firebug it can tell you where pages are looking for specific scripts.

Well, when having the Excerpt editor checked, I get a 420px high Body editor when I activate it at first. But when deactivating it and reactivating, it has the same height as the Excerpt editor. So toggling gets me: Large – none – Small – none – Large – none.. etc. Is there anything else I can do to help you debuggin?

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
@plugmas: Under extensions -> hak_tinymce there is a setting that says Path to tiny_mce script the default is tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js which assumes it’s in /textpattern/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js If that is not where it is installed you need to adjust the path.
@Anton: I’ll see what I can find.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
What browser are you using? Do you get any errors when you click the show editor check boxes?
I’d recommend it trying Firebug and see if it offers any insights (anyone who does web development should have firebug anyway)

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
I added fontsizeselect to the init in the extensions tab, but when I try to use it in the write tab I get unexpected results.
When I first change some of the text’s size, it works fine. The text changes size as expected. If I save the entry, the formatting doesn’t show anymore, and when clicking on the text, the font-size select doesn’t show the current formatting. The font looks small in the editing area, but if I look at the html, it still has the formatting (the entry displays well on the website).
This is a problem because if you decide to change the font size, it just keeps adding another span, instead of changing the existing one. It’s also confusing for people that don’t know to look into the html code to see if the formating took hold or not.
Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
That’s just tinyMCE unfortunately. The only solution is to enable the removeformat button and have people apply that first before changing sizes again. The style plugin does a good job of finding a parent tag and applying styles to that but it won’t create a span for a selection.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
But in the example in the tinymce site, it works fine (once the style is applied, the text has that size, and the dropdown shows the current size):
While in my textpattern, the style is applied (if you see the html, you can see the span with the right size), but there is no indication of it:

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
The TinyMCE site is using the new beta release, in which they re-wrote all that stuff. I haven’t tried the beta with the plugin but it should work unless they changed the API to create and remove the editor.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
Sorry to be such a pest, but:
I was using a previous version of the plugin (0.7.2 or 3), when I noticed this happening, so I changed to the latest version of it. Still happening…
Could it be a css conflict?
