Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video

is there an optional ‘loop’ function for this plugin?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video

I’ve been checking this plugin and it works very well “out of the box”. However, there are a couple of things I’d like to mention.

dnadeau wrote: “I love this plugin, but I’m having some usability issues that are confusing some of my users. When they arrive at the page the player says “click to play” They click it and nothing happens. Then, if it is clicked again, the movie begins to play.”

This in IE only, and I find the same behaviour. It’s not that important, really, but if someone has a clue about how to fix it, so much the better.

Also, I’ve tried to substitute the new flvplayer.swf from www.jeroenwijering.com for the one included with the plugin. I’ve uploaded it with another name via the txp interface, modified the advanced preferences to point to the new name, and what I get is that the player takes much longer to load than the previous one, and then it does not work. I can see the controls, but if I click on it, nothing happens.

As I said before, it’s not very important, as the older player works very well, but anyway I would rather use the newer, so if anyone has had this problem and has found a solution, I’d like to hear it.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video

I’m having problems with loading and playing since the upgrade to TXP 4.0.4
Once it loads only for few seconds and than stops, and the player stops in the middle etc.

Anybody with the same problems and possible fix?

Thank you!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video

Ok I am almost getting there…

I have this code

<code><txp:bas_flvplayer /> </code>

with a custom id of video. My flvplayer.swf is id=1, and the example video is id=2. Now when I put the custom id to 1 I get the flash player to show and can click the play button..it will show “loading”. Thats it. Now if I put id of 2 which is the actual video file it shows up nothing in the article.

Since I almost have this set up what did I miss? I did the debug this is with the id of 2 ……….

<code><object type=“application/x-shockwave-flash” data=“http://localhost/index.php?s=file_download&id=1?file=http://localhost/index.php?s=file_download&id=2&autoStart=false” width=“320” height=“240”> <param name=“movie” value=“http://localhost/index.php?s=file_download&id=1?file=http://localhost/index.php?s=file_download&id=2&autoStart=false” /> <param name=“wmode” value=“transparent” />
</object>

</code>

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video

I tried using the following code for this

<code><txp:bas_flvplayer id=‘4’ /></code>

and it didn’t work. But then I realized that I couldn’t use a WYSIWYG editor when using that code (right?) so I tried using Textile. Still no go.

here is how the site looks like now. It just shows the code;

thoughts?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video

dreamer, try:

notextile. <txp:bas_flvplayer id="4" />

The problem is that textile formats your output.

Cheers!

I think to start <txp:bas_flvplayer id="4" /> with “ “ space it’s easier and textile switches off for the line wich started with space.
