URLs: /year/month/day/title in 1 section rest /section/title
I’ve been wondering this for awhile.
Is there any way to use /year/month/day/title for just 1 section & keep the rest of the site /section/title?
Most content isn’t time sensitive, but I’d like to add a time sensitive news section.
Some news services require some kind of time stamp in the url for syndication also.
Thanks

I did something similar recently using gbp_permanent_links I had one section using /section/title while everything else used just /title

OK, thanx. I have it installed already too.
I also came up with kind of a fudge, but it would work.
I added the date to the beginning of the title with the [URL-only title field] in advanced options, like so…
example.com/section/01-01-2008-title
Works with dashes, no luck with forward slashes. RSS feed links work fine.
I’ll probably only have 4-5 articles a week, so its an option.
Time to play with that perm links a bit ;)
