Install MySQL Problem
Hello,
I’m new so hope this is the correct place, install will not create MySQL tables, keep getting same error message:
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘ENGINE=MyISAM PACK_KEYS=1 AUTO_INCREMENT=2’ at line 42.
Line numbers differ, but message essential the same, ends thus:
There were 136 errors during the installation. You can ask for help in the Textpattern forums.
I could possibly load tables manually, but I not sure what the error is?
Kind Regards
G)
PS Sorry, this is being installed on my testing server:
MySQL version = 4.0.4 beta
php = 4.3.7 win32….

Re: Install MySQL Problem
Upgrade your MySQL version to 4.1 (using beta versions, especially as old as the one you have is asking for trouble).
And while you’re at it, upgrade PHP as well ;)

Hello,
Thank you for reply, I’m currently entering them manually. It was a long time ago when I set up this server, and, the one thing I do remember is how difficult it was to do so.
So I’ve always avoided doing it again, I have everything copied, so when I change my box, I just cut and paste, and it is all working.
I know I will have to move to php5 sooner rather than later….. But keep putting it off……… >>>>>
Kind Regards
