controlling articles on a section page
Hi All
I’m on the process of putting together a rather minimalistic site for my client.
The home page contains just section links, one of which is ‘work’.
The ‘work’ section page contains just a catagory list of types of work he’s completed. The catagories are acting as sub-sections, so when you click on ‘scuba diving’ you are taken to a page containing a article list of scuba locations he’s worked at. Clicking on any of these takes you to the work example article which is a pragraph or two with a few pictures.
My problem comes when I try to display certain menus on certain pages. I can show the different sections on the default (home) page. When you click on Work I can show the catagory list (types of work) but at the same time you also see the article list (work examples) – I only want the work examples (the article list) to show when you click on a catagory.
What I want is something that can say, if section home page show only catagory list. For the next page (the article list ‘work examples’ page) Showing the article list can be taken care of by using ‘if individual article’ (to show the type of work article), and an ‘else’ to show just the article list.
I’ve tried glx_if_not_section_frontpage but it doesn’t seem to work with 4.05 – is there another way of restricting an output to happen when NOT on a section front page?
I hope this makes sense, if it doesn’t please let me know as I’m kind of stuck at the moment.
Kind regards
CC

Re: controlling articles on a section page
I only want the work examples (the article list) to show when you click on a catagory.
Make use of if_category.
