Author's posts are front-page sensitive

I’ve found an issue with an author’s posts page (example.com/author/Author+Name). If an author has only posted to sections that do not appear on the front page (“On front page?” No), no results are returned. Since /author isn’t the front page, results should be returned regardless of whether the section displays on the front page.

Isn’t this exactly the same how categories work? The url example.com/author/Author+Name is like example.com/category/Category+Name. If you had a secton named ‘category’ that would show the same behaviour I assume. So if you change the section name to for example ‘authors’, it should work.

Yep, it’s the same situation.
