Easy improvement for textpattern
Hi,
after some time I’ve got to build a site with textpattern. Once again Iam impressed with the scope of possibilities and flexibility of this CMS!
However – there is one thing that can be fixed very easily.
I build a site in localised version of Textpattern (Slovak language). Now it’s cool that you have help links all across the admin interface, but it’s less cool that help articles they link to are not translated, and therefore no help shows.
So for example, localized help link in admin interface yields this URL:
http://rpc.textpattern.com/help/?item=some_php_functions_disabled&lang=sk
(which shows SORRY helpdoc doesn’t exist)
But this URL:
http://rpc.textpattern.com/help/?item=some_php_functions_disabled
gets me solid explanation in english
Note that URL is not visible in help popup windows, so i think displaying english or czech (Slovak and czech people understand each othe without problems :-) translationin would be a good idea..

The translation of help texts is done by volunteering community members. If you are willing to help, here’s how.

I think andre meant that if a translation is not available, the link should go to the English help text. I agree. (Or, if possible, to a related or similar language, but I suppose that won’t be easy to realize.)

If a translation is missing, that’s a bug which should be fixed.
