Upgrading issues
Hi,
I just tried to upgrade from a really old versions of Txp. I should have written the number down before I upgraded but I didn’t and can’t remember what version it was other than it was somewhere in the 1.0 range. Something went wrong because now my styles are completely stripped and when I try to get to the diagnostics page I get a 503 error.
Any clue what might be wrong? or why I can’t get to the diagnostics page?
the site in question is: http://www.muddled.org/justin
Thanks.
Zara

That link gives me a 404. Did you mean http://justin.muddled.org/? Styles are not ‘stripped’ there…

Els, as you can see there is installed two seperate Textpatterns. One to the root and one to the justin-directory. So, it’s only http://www.muddled.org/justin issue, as the root’s installation works fine (I supose that it’s also quite old txp-version).
zarprey,
can you post a tag trace?
Cheers!

Re: Upgrading issues
Odd. I swear you used to be able to reach it at muddled.org/justin too.
I guess maybe stripped is the wrong word but that wasn’t the design of the site before I upgraded. Although it makes no sense how my site design could have disappeared with just an upgrade…

Gocom – what is a tag trace? Sorry….
(it’s been awhile since I played with Txp)

Re: Upgrading issues
Oh. I think I fixed it. The “site” part of preferences was pointing to the wrong spot.
Thanks for your help on that.
Now, anyone know how to fix this error:
“If you just updated and expect to see your site here, please also update the files in your main installation directory. (Otherwise note that publish.php cannot be called directly.)”
because I did replace all of those files…

Re: Upgrading issues
ahh. Apparently I’m having some multi-install issues.
I think I should be able to muddle through.
I guess this is what I get for not updating in a long time!
