problems installing textpattern
Hello all textpattern users
This is my first post in this forum, so please excuse my ignorance. I am a webdesigner/developer, working mostly with design, and partly with front-end developing, now trying to take the dive into the backend, so please, have patience if ask stupid questions :-)
I cannot get past the “Step 4) Confirmation and Security Screen”, when installing textpattern. I´m using the guide on this page: http://textbook.textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Detailed_Installation_Instructions
I did search the FAQ but found no solution to my problem, so I turn my question to this well-renomated forum.
In step three I just fill in my name, a login name etc.. And then when I come to step 4, I get 136. points that are wrong, starting like this:

1. CREATE command denied to user ‘tobiass_one’@‘ws27.surf-town.net’ for table ‘textpattern’
2. Table ‘tobiass_db.textpattern’ doesn’t exist
3. CREATE command denied to user ‘tobiass_one’@‘ws27.surf-town.net’ for table ‘txp_category’
4. Table ‘tobiass_db.txp_category’ doesn’t exist
5. Table ‘tobiass_db.txp_category’ doesn’t exist
6. Table ‘tobiass_db.txp_category’ doesn’t exist
7. Table ‘tobiass_db.txp_category’ doesn’t exist
8. Table ‘tobiass_db.txp_category’ doesn’t exist
9. Table ‘tobiass_db.txp_category’ doesn’t exist

and then continues in a similar matter. What have I done wrong? Anybody have any idea?

Do that user have fully granted access to the database? It seems that it hasn’t. I supose that you have forgotten to add the user to the database or something similiar – atleast not with a full access.

Since databases are totally new to me, I had no Idea that there was any such thing as access to all these different things.. But – hey, thanx to your answer Gocom, I found it, and granted everything, and got it to work!
