article_image in forms?

Probably a dumb question, but is it possible to use article_image within a form? I’ve tried and it doesn’t work, although it does work if I put the tag within the body of the article. I’ve googled for an answer and searched these forums but I’ve come up with nothing.

I just want to have the article image appear automatically without having to enter the tag manually into the article body.

Any ideas?

Many thanks,
Charles

Re: article_image in forms?

You can attach an image to the article. Easiest way is with upm_img_popper plugin. Choose “attach” image. If you are in the Content > Write tab, click on advanced options, and you will see a field called article image.

You can enter in that field the article id number. For example, if your image is 9.jpg, enter 9 in the article image field.

Then, in your article form, use the article_image tag to output your image automatically.

Re: article_image in forms?

Thanks for confirming the way to do it; I’ve sorted it now. I was doing it just like you outlined (only I’m using a URL instead of an image id). The reason the article_image wasn’t displaying from within my form: I had put the tag into the wrong form. D’oh!
