[request] Country flag based on IP of commenter
Having an international readership is cool. It would be even cooler to identify a commenter’s country with a little flag next to the name or wherever based on his/her IP address.
If you don’t know, what I mean, please take a look here (scroll down to the comments) for example. That weblog is powered by EE and the country flag feature is realised with a plugin/module.
The only thing I know about is that you need a database for the IP <-> country and of course the flags.
Unfortunately I have no PHP skills at all. But I wanted to post it as an idea for developers with too much time ;)

I think that ip/country does not always work as somebody might be posting whilst not in their home… This is a plugin request though and
BBclone and slimstat have an ip to country function which might be of use.

hi Diego
You may publish your plugin in the plugins forum
The title of your post should be the name of your plugin. It will eventually be moved by Mary to the author support forum which I would prompt you to surf so as to check how other authors present their work.
