Search to include file names & descriptions?

Textpattern search doesn’t look at file names or descriptions.

Is that correct?

Apart from moving over to a Google-based search, how could it be achieved? Would it be a reasonable feature-request?

Yes that is correct. Textpattern’s search-function only looks at articles’ titles and bodies.

Perhaps a solution is to create a template page to ‘hold’ files?

This would allow you to include more info about the file (eg. file size, format, etc…).

And these pages would be searchable too, of course.

lozmatic, we have pages like this but they don’t appear in search results – I think we will “leverage” Google’s search!
