Show articles 90 days before posting date
Hi guys and girls
I’m trying to build a page showing coming events 90 days ahead and hide past events. I’ve tried to use the plugin ras_if_dates and aaa_dates without any positive results.
The events is represented through an article with a timestamp with a date of the event in the future.
Does anyone know a way to solve this with Textpattern codes or specific plugins?
Regards,
macriis

Have a look at chh_article_custom and it’s attributes, especially ‘time’.

Re: Show articles 90 days before posting date
Thanks Els
Unfortunately the plug-in doesn’t work with the newest version of Textpattern (4.0.5). I get a lot of errors like:
Textpattern Notice: Unknown tag attribute: listform on line 605
…when I use the time attribute on the chh_article_custom. And the forum thread http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=2306 seems to show that the plug-in isn’t developed anymore.
Some posts in the thread suggests that the Textpattern preference Production status set to Live which then produces no errors. But I guess that the errors still exists but just isn’t shown. I would like a more solid solution and preferably a plug-in that’s up-to-date with Textpattern 4.0.5.
Can you or anyone else point to a working solution?

It’s not an error, it’s a notice. If the plugin works, set production status to live and don’t worry about it :)

Re: Show articles 90 days before posting date
Both aaa_dates and ras_if_dates are restricted to conditional display of articles returned by the article tag. If you are having trouble displaying future posting date articles, you might check the “time” attribute for your txp:article tag to see if that won’t suffice by itself to solve your problem; using that and the conditionals may be your best option.
