New Tag?

Do we have a <txp:if_article_status /> tag?

Re: New Tag?

No (although that depends on the definition of ‘we’)

Re: New Tag?

If not – I’ll build one. What, specifically, would you like it to do, and under what circumstances?

Re: New Tag?

You can probably use the txp:article tag to do the same thing.

Re: New Tag?

Ehm… damn I can’t remember the exact scenario but I’m sure in some specific situations I was looking badly for a tag like this.
Apart from that it could still be useful, for instance, in order to use just a single article form for both sticky and live articles…

Re: New Tag?

Errm. I’ve forgotten why I asked this now. :(

Whatever the reason I’ve obviously either worked around it or changed the situation somehow.

Re: New Tag?

OK. I went and checked the site I was working on at the time.

On the front-page of a section there is a “sticky” article. Assuming that the title is permlinked, when you get to the individual view you get a blank page (content not the whole page) because the normal article tag used in individual view doesn’t display stickies. Now you can add another article tag which is set to display a sticky but you only want one article tag to operate, hence my asking the question in the first place.

At the moment I’ve changed the situation by not having the permlink.

EDIT: Or could the “status” attribute take a comma-separated list. That would do the same thing methinks.
