Why won't my blog show up?

I just installed Textpattern on to my website, and so far my blog and the updates that I made on the template do not show up. Here is a link to the page:

This is all new to me – any ideas would be appreciated!

Try setting the Site URL (in Admin > Preferences) to familiesofdestiny.org/test.

BTW this: http://familiesofdestiny.org/test/index.php?s=article is working. Clean URLs don’t seem to work, have a look at the FAQ.

Also follow up on the preflight check messages: set the permissions for the images and files folders, and remove the setup folder.

Thanks! I was able to view the blog.

I took care of the other things, except the permission for image and file folders. I do not understand what this means…

Image directory is not writable: /home2/families/familiesofdestiny-www/test/images
File directory path is not writable: /home2/families/familiesofdestiny-www/files ?

Could you give me a clue?

You can change permissions through the admin panel’s file manager or through your ftp client (right click the folder, something like properties or permissions will be in the menu). 755 (rwx-rx-rx) should be all right.

When I right mouse clicked on the “images” and “files” folders in my ftp client, I was able to find properties, but there were only check boxes, and nothing about permission… Is there another way to do this, or am I just missing it? I am new at web design and it takes a while to try and figure it all out. :-)

Thanks! That worked for the “image” folder, but it is still reporting an error on the “files” folder. When I go to properties, there is not a field for “manual” so I couldn’t find any place to type in the 775.
