Re: Where are posters' user names?

For me there is nothing in the tags. When I “reveal code” I see this:

<dt><strong></strong></dt>

Ah, here’s a clue… it works in IE6 but does not in my usual browser, Firefox 2. Safari 3 crashes completely. This is on Win XP.

I am guessing that this info is written by Javascript that is not using a cross-browser DOM correctly.

Or maybe it have something to do with cookies, that change how bar is output beside the user’s post. Because someones it work with every browser. And actually only new users experience this kind of a problem. For me it work with all browser I have: IE6, IE7, Safari 3, Firefox 2 and Opera 9.

Cheers!

Re: Where are posters' user names?

For me, Camino is the only browser exhibiting the problem.

yep works fine in ie6, ie7, safari 3, ff 2, and opera 9 for me on Win XP as well. definitely has something to do with new user priviledges as i made a brand new test account and all of a sudden could not see any usernames in any browsers while logged in (but logged out i could see them fine).

Re: Where are posters' user names?

I can confirm this. When I log out, I can see all user names, even in Camino. When I log in, they disappear.

But this will work only for peaple, having the same bug – the will see my name instead of null nick. Is there already solution for this bug?

Re: Where are posters' user names?

Hmm, very odd. I’ve tinkered with the username code, any changes?

Yay Mary — it works! I can see your name! I don’t need to call you “developer”!

Re: Where are posters' user names?

Two affirmatives, so I’ll assume the issue is fixed unless someone else says otherwise. :)

Yes, I am the one who originally reported the problem and I can confirm it now works for me as well.

Thanks, Mary!
