Textpattern buliding template

I am working on a template for textpattern but having trouble. The green part is a container div with my articles. There is a main article section that will host the newest article. The second and third boxes below are for older articles and misc topics. My question is this. How do I position the second and third box? I am floating the menu bar on the right. The container is margin-right to fit the menu. I cannot get the side by side right for the too smaller boxes. How can this be done? thanks.

Re: Textpattern buliding template

You should be able to use float:left and provided they aren’t too wide they will sit side-by-side. You will need to give both of them a “width” attribute. It might also be wise to place them both within a containing “div” (no width) and don’t forget to “clear” them or your footer will appear in places you didn’t intend it to.
