new site
I am not sure this is right forum to ask: if I should made an other site on my machine where I already have MAMP and of course textpattern. Do I need to download MAMP and textpattern for each
new site ( I have Mac) . I have just bougt Textpattern Solutions, very helpful book, but I could not find thing about this in there.

no you dont need to redownload mamp. you only need one server setup.
you will need to install textpattern in the new sites directory though and then point that directory to a different test hostname (like www.testsite2.dev or whatever). i generally create a new database for each new site to keep it simple though you could also use a different table prefix and use the same database if you wanted.

I have created second datebase, and I have changed the hidden file to example.dev localhost. I have alsp changed httpd.conf file (virtualhost to localhost etc). But, when I enter http//example.dev the url is not found. Could it be the wrong DocumentRoot “/Users/username/Sites/example.dev”.
Some times I am a little confused, Users in my mac is called Brukere (in norwegian), should I use Brukere or Users (I have tried both here but no of them worked).
