How do I enable comments?

I’ve combed through several different forum search queries and I can’t seem to find anyone else with the same problem. I’m generally pretty savvy when it comes to this sort of thing, so I feel a bit retarded.

I can’t enable comments on my site. I’ve got Textpattern 4.0.5 installed and running, and I currently use it to power my blog, but I can’t figure out how to enable comments. The invite is there, but when a user clicks on it, it opens the article by itself: no text entry boxes, nothing else relating to comments.

I have comments enabled site-wide, and I went back and checked the individual articles and they are enabled there as well, but, well, they aren’t.

I have done very little to customize the default installation, beyond adding my own CSS styling and images.

Ideas?

Thanks.

Re: How do I enable comments?

In Admin>Preferences do you have “Automatically append comments to articles?” to yes?

Re: How do I enable comments?

You, my friend, just made my day. I thought it would be simple, but never did I think it would be that simple.

Cheers.

Re: How do I enable comments?

I have a somehow similar problem, although i have the comments enabled, the “invite” to add comments are not shown in the articles.
I’ve been searching for hours, but i can’t find a fix..
I have the latest version of the TXP installed.

EDIT
Sorry, nevermind, it’s may fault .. on the content > article page under “More” the comments were disabled for each article..
