Custom User Roles and permissions
I would like to define a custom User Role, which is easy to do.
This specific Role also has access to the catagory tab.
I am hitting an obstacle here, since I would like it to be able only to add new categories, but not to modify existing ones.
From what I have seen, this is not possible with 4.0.5
Could the above be achieved, with a plugin and an additional User_ID column on the category table?
Also: Has anything light this been thought of in crockery ?

looking at the $txp_permissions array in admin_config.php it seems there is only the one permission called “category”, so I guess there’s no way without building a new “category.create” permission into the relevant function.

@jacob, I assumed this right away. It is just difficult to estimate the effect, that such a change would have in general to the core.
Will just have to poke around in the source a little more and find out, I guess.
