[issue] Bug : 404 wrong section when default archive page is deleted
When you delete the default archive page, yet don’t update the section’s preference in the section tab, it will display a 404 error whether you’re on that section’s list page or on one of it’s articles.
The problem is, it’s very hard to identify the problem, because when in such situation you go to the section tab, it looks as though every thing’s alright, because it automatically displays the “default” page in the page dropdown option, while it’s actually unset.
Saving settings for the concerned sections solves this.
I guess there are two things that need fixing here :
- redirect to the section tab when a used page is being deleted, emphasise (red+bold) all the sections that now have no page assigned, and leave that dropdown empty (and keep it like that in the sections tab until the user fixes it).
- OR disable deleting used pages.
- instead of having a “404 wrong section” page, use the default page and display an error message.

True. I’d vote for disabling the deleting of used pages.

A bit restrictive, but yes, I think it’s the most straight forward solution. Maybe a little legend would be useful (this page is used by section … and can’t be deleted). I remember wondereding why certain pages couldn’t be deleted before.
