Creating a custom installation package (including plugins and mods)
I am just starting out with textpattern. I have tried many CMS/blogging packages and txp seems to me to be exactly what I am looking for. The plan is to roll out txp accross my managed sites over time. I started this however i have found i spend a long time setting up new installs, adding plugins and mods and installing the custom admin interface that I use. for each individual site. I use pretty much the same plugins accross all the sites. I was wondering if there is a way to create a custom package/version/installation of txp, including the installation wizard. So take the latest version install all the plugins i need and then somehow repackage it up so i can use it over and over again. Does that make sense (I hope so!) and is it possible?

Re: Creating a custom installation package (including plugins and mods)
Just make a dump of the txp_plugins table once it’s got all the plugins installed and activated. Then just load it on your new installs.

If it’s a modified file, just package the modified TXP files you use.

Re: Creating a custom installation package (including plugins and mods)
Would it be possible to edit one of the steup files (txpsql.php i assume) to automatically add some plugins to the db when setup is run?

Sure, that’s possible, but probably a lot more work than just restoring a txp_plugins table separately.

So, Ruud, you advice to restore mysql tables and hacked files (if exist) manualy? If there is any tool to make this in a batch?
