Logging Search Terms
In Textpattern – can you see what people have been searching for – is there a log somewhere?

Re: Logging Search Terms
Tye:
You can find in the admin tab a tab called visitor logs … under the preferences tab you have basic settings to control what does and does not get logged …

Re: Logging Search Terms
Ah sorry – I meant what people have been searching for when using the txp search facility

Re: Logging Search Terms
do you mean a log of what people have searched for through your txp site’s built-in search? no i do not believe so.
if you mean external search terms from google and such, your referrer column in your txp logs will sorta tell you what they looked for. for example, from my txp log i find entries like “http:// www.google.com.au/search?q=musicians+textpattern&ie=utf- 8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official& client=firefox-a”
you can extrapolate rather easily that they searched for “musicians textpattern” from that.
for more concise info, you’d probably be better off using google analytics or mint or something.
