One of the many frustrations I have with keeping up with the Textpattern community is keeping track of all the sites people have developed. Yes there are the stalwarts (Textbook), but others such as Textpattern Resources and We Love TXP are getting updated all the time. While RSS solves half the problem, I don’t always have time to meticulously go through Bloglines. Not sure if anyone else has this issue (or even cares), but for those that do, I suggest checking txpnow.com, a small site I created to aggregate different feeds that I read regularly into one home for easy checking.
Not sure if it’s useful or not. Feedback welcome, of course.

Great site, although there is TxPlanet too. Your site aggregates more resources.

iblastoff — I also wish things were updated more often, especially the developers weblog. I just wish there was a running commentary of plans, significant SVN updates, etc., even if I don’t understand all of it. Then again, they are focusing so much time on development that it’s tought o complain too much. :)

a ‘running commentary of plans’ on the weblog is exactly what i’d like to see. not sure why the weblog seems to have died off since the post about 4.0.5 release. theres been no dev blog posts for over 2 months.
either way, i’ll definitely be adding txpnow.com as one of my txp resources to keep an eye on. thanks

Sure. And I intend to keep the mini blog thing on there updated as well, and over time add more feeds. Just need to figure out an intelligent way of prenting multiple feeds at once in a finite amount of space. I’ll update this thread when that happens.

I can’t speak for the other devs, but I’m not really someone who enjoys writing blogs (or reading them for that matter). Not that I mind talking about what I do, but not every programmer is a gifted writer ;)
What you’ll probably see me doing in the near future is first merging all bug fixes in the 4.0.x branch back into crockery, so we don’t have to rediscover the same bugs there later on. In the past week, I’ve already looked at the changesets from the past year and there are only a few left to merge. Then I intend to do a file by file comparison of 4.0.x versus crockery to catch the remaining changes that need to be merged. This goes in both directions, because sometimes crockery has bugfixes that are not in 4.0.x (bugfixes, not features).
When that’s done, hopefully soon, I’d like to work on a few things: unlimited categories, parser speed…
Probably some other stuff as well, but one thing at a time.

I have just started creating my first TXP site – liking everything about TXP so far.
