email_required problem !!!
Hi !
Impossible to install textpattern for me….
i did everything said in the step by step “detailed installation instructions”, but at step 3 i just get an “email_required” error and that’s it… i enter the details in step 3 and then step 4 never happens… i get the error message.
and not a single reference of that error page on the forum/website/documentation which is a bit absurd, cause it’s a textpattern error message (with the installation layout…) and therefore it should be documented !
so, does anyone have a clue of what would be the solution.
my mysql and php are up to date and i tried the step by step like 10 times, deleting everything, starting from scratch again and again…
Thank you for reading me, and I really hope someone will have a simple solution, and also that the creator of textpattern will have the good idea to make a “detailed installation instructions” including all kind of troubles we can encounter along with the normal “detailed installation instructions”, because textpattern seems to be a really good thing but how many people facing the same problems as me will give up after trying only 2 times without finding any mention of their problem in the forum/doc ? and then won’t even bother registering the forum and asking for a solution…

You need to make sure that a valid email address is entered.

what is it that you need documented? the error message is pretty self-explanatory.
