Importing posts from Blogspot?
Hello,
Is there a quick and easy way to import Blogger / Blogspot posts into Textpattern? I’ve read the wiki, scoured the forums and checked the “import” folder within the txp installation, and nothing works :(
TXP provides a code which is meant to turn the blog into a plain file which can be downloaded and then imported, but for some reason, when this code is input into the ‘layout’ of a blogspot blog, it says the code is malformed, and will not allow me to continue.
Anyone have any ideas? – Not too bothered about comments at this stage. I just dont fancy moving 100+ posts manually :(

Can’t quite tell from your post, but have you tried Admin > Import from the Admin interface in TxP?

NeilA, i have.
With blogspot / Blogger imports, you need to get a .txt file from blogger, and then upload to the txp installation, and then use the import link via the admin interface.
I’m just having trouble getting that .txt file in the first place!

Thanks Mary, i have tried this but blogger tells me the code is malformed, and cannot be saved.
It doesn’t give any indication to what’s wrong with it either?

Hello there, if you have finally figured how to import entries from blogger to txp, could you please share it with me?
I’m trying to import from blogger as well but am having trouble, apparently that textbook article applies to the older version of blogspot, not the latest one.
Be glad if anyone knows how to.
