Installing 2 copies of one plugin. Is it possibe ?

Well… i’m tuning some plugins, and now i had to install second copy of the same plugin (first is modifyed by me, second is author’s version) is it possible ? how can i do this…

Not possible, because you’d have duplicate function names and that would cause errors or warnings (not sure which, but it won’t work as you’d like)

Of course i understand that i have to change function names :))
Right now i’m trying to do that via plugin development.

If the function names are different, then the tags the plugin provides are different… so why not name the plugin differently as well. Then you could install them side by side ;)

yeah )) that’s the reason: i need different tags. So i was asking about possibility of installing the second copy and then editting it. Now i’m trying let’s call this “to develop” a plugin %))

The main problem is that it’s the first day i’m dealing with this stuff )) thanks for your support man. ;)

And i’ve done it. I had to install new plugin, via ied_plugin_composer and then change the code and functions names. Thank you! First experience in this area is positive, like all 1,5 year on TXP !
of course now it’s like two different plugins and tags, but that was the aim ))
