how to list sections with no of articles in it.

Please rephrase the question. It’s not really clear (to me at least) what you’re asking.
If possible, show us what you’ve tried to do (code example) and what you want it to do.

i think he/she means something like displaying ‘Section Name (14)’. 14 being # of articles within that section name.

if thats the case, you can use something like mdn_count

actually i want to show some of the sections from my site with the no. of articles in it on a page.
i just want section listing..not section and their articles..
mdn_count will give count of articles in specified section..what to do for this?
<txp:section_list wont give article count in the section..
what to do for this?any help please?

You either have to list the sections manually (not using section_list) and use mdn_count to show the number of articles… or write a plugin to do this (which I recommend as this can be done with a single SQL query).
