Menu Creation

Hello,

I am attempting to use Textpattern to create my personal portfolio site with the goal of making it easier to add projects to my archives. I am having trouble figuring out how to create the navigation functions and I am hoping someone can help me out.

I have a navigaton bar underneath my banner that browses to the 4 main sections of my site; About, Resume, Portfolio, and Contact. This is working as I want it to, but I want a way to navigate through the portfolio section on the side bar.

I have 3 categories of Projects; Theatre, Dance, and Other.

What I would like see is a basic information page when the portfolio section is opened with a list of categories in the side bar. When a category chosen I then want the Category title to display with a list of projects (articles) underneath, and a single article at a time displayed in main area of the layout.

So far I have been able to generate a list of categories in the side bar, or a list of articles, but it is getting messy moving between them, and I was hoping for a clean solution.

Advice on how to structure things differently to make it work better would be usefull as well. Does anybody have examples of graphic portfolio sites they have done in Textpattern I could take a look at?

Thanks,
Simon
