Downgrading to 4.0.4?
I really need to use the MLP for an existing site but the site but it is running 4.0.5. MLP doesn’t work with with the newest version so is it possible to downgrade?

Re: Downgrading to 4.0.4?
I ought to tell you that you shouldn’t downgrade, mostly because of security fixes. That being said, I know the MLP problem, and you should be able to downgrade the same way you perform an upgrade, as long as no changes were made to the database tables by the update. Looking at the release notes I don’t think there were, but you might want to have this confirmed by one of the devs. (see posts below)
MLP is keeping me from upgrading a site as well. Join us in our cry for help in the plugin thread.

Yes, there were updates to the database tables, see the /textpattern/_to_4.0.5.php file for details.

So am I right in assuming that you can’t downgrade unless you have a db backup from 4.0.4?

Most of the interesting changes are in the txp_file table where created/modified timestamps and the file size are now stored instead of being read from the actual file each time. I haven’t tested downgrades, but I suspect you won’t get serious problems (no guarantees though).
