Unknown section after reinstalling textpattern

Hulo,

I installed textpattern without problems, and decided to delete sections that were created by default (comment, and another one that i don’t recall). However, I failed with my plan and after a while I resorted in reinstalling textpattern.
During reinstallation I put in my MySql details and password I get the following error: “Textpattern database tables already exist. Can’t run setup.” After this I can access my admin panel normally, but it contains the same sections, pages and styles that I created during my first attempt. My default page (with textpattern default style and page) works, but comment section doesn’t work: http://student.tol.oulu.fi/~ltenhune/index.php?id=1#comment.

I’d prefer to start on a fresh installation, so what are my options?

Re: Unknown section after reinstalling textpattern

If you really want to start with a fresh installation, remove the config.php file from the textpattern directory, use your webhost’s webinterface to remove the textpattern MySQL tables and then run the setup again.

Or… restore the default pages, styles and froms, which you can find on this page

Thanks for your reply. I have to ask my host for the url. I double checked that I have my pages, forms and styles as the getting started guide shows. Yet the comment page fails, so I think I will have a fresh install after all.
