Disable notifications from forum temporarily?
Hi,
I was wondering if it’s possible to turn off the new post notifications for the time I’m on holiday and later activate them again?
I don’t want them to trigger my vacation auto-reply.
Cheers Martin

Re: Disable notifications from forum temporarily?
Thanks for being considerate. A lot of people don’t remember about that, and I for popular threads I get my inbox filled with the auto-responses.
Now the bad news: you will have to turn them all off, then turn them all back on:

There’s no switch anywhere (for you or me). :/ I’m got a redo of the forum planned, so I’ll see if there’s a simple way to mod PunBB so we can do that.

A good ‘vacation’ auto-responder would ignore mails that have a “Precedence: bulk” header set.

Thanks for the info, I ended up changing my forum mail address to a different, little used one as a workaround. A switch sounds like a good idea for forum mod.
