Precondition failed?
My site has been working perfectly since I put it up in January and now all of a sudden when I go to post a blog entry I’m getting this:
Precondition Failed
The precondition on the request for the URL /3fs/textpattern/index.php evaluated to false.
I’ve not changed anything at all in my design/plugins/whatever for quite a few months so I’m not sure why this is happening all of a sudden. Anyone have any clue what I can look into?
I’m running the following plugins:
rss_admin_show_adv_opts 0.3
rss_live_archive 0.6
rss_suparchive 0.18
tru_tags 2.0
tsw_sec_list 0.5
The site is http://www.muddled.org/3fs (although the site seems to be working ok, I just can’t post)

It does, sort of. I find it odd that my hosting company (Textdrive) would do this, but my server has been having problems lately so maybe that is the cause. I shall open up a support ticket. Thanks :)

Chances are there is a phrase in your blog post that mod_security doesn’t like. It’s only a matter of telling it to ignore that. I’ve had a similar problem with TextDrive before, and I only had to add an extra line to .htaccess and it fixed the problem. :)

And if you are on a static ip you can use the snippet form here
replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with your own ip
