Runtime vs Querytime
I could use a little help diagnosing performance issues. Can anyone tell me what sort of problems cause high Runtimes but reasonable Query times? I saw the FAQ here: http://textpattern.com/faq/136/diagnosing-performance-problems
but it doesn’t mention Query time, or the difference between Runtime and Query time.
One some pages on a site I’m working on I get figures like this:
<!-- Runtime: 22.086 -->
<!-- Query time: 0.523254 -->
<!-- Queries: 34 -->
<!-- Memory: no info available -->
This doesn’t happen on every page. For example, the main page has these stats:
<!-- Runtime: 0.1304 -->
<!-- Query time: 0.096047 -->
<!-- Queries: 22 -->
<!-- Memory: no info available -->
Thanks

Re: Runtime vs Querytime
Runtime = time to execute the PHP script + time to execute the SQL queries (query time).
Try disabling DNS lookups as suggested in that FAQ item.
