Setup: "Install sample forms and data?"
Before I forget about it:
For setup a pre-checked checkbox “Install sample forms and data? Leave this option checked if unsure” If left unchecked, then things like the article “First Post”, and unused, un-required forms like “lofi” are not installed, creating a truly clean install. This would be useful for those of us whom immediately delete such things after setup.
(This would go into crockery, btw.)

I think this is a good idea. There are plenty of times where a stripped down install would be handy. I think every one of my TXP installs has gone straight to custom forms and data, never once using the pre-installed items.

Very cool. (And while you’re at it, strip out 1.gif too.)
If we do get the option though, I would suggest more sample forms and data with HTML comments inside to let new users know what does what.

This would suit me nicely when porting. :)

I like your thinking!
Ardilla’s suggestion for more extensive html commenting on sample forms and data for beginners has merit, imho.

I think it is a great idea. I am totally and completely agree with you. But there can be some aspects…
