Ending a blockquote
Hello,
I have had some difficulty quoting messages on the forum, that have threaded quotes already in them. what is the best way to format them? Is there some Textile shortcut for indenting?
When I did bq.. I found that the blockquote went on forever instead of just two paragraphs as desired. All the extra lines between paragraph two and three just get collapsed:
paragraph one
paragraph two
paragraph three
??
thanks,
Brianna

Re: Ending a blockquote
If you want to stop the blockquote after the second paragraph, start the third paragraph with p.

Indenting is presentational. Use CSS.

Re: Ending a blockquote
Quotes within quotes are semantic. And blockquote within blockquote are valid.
It’s an exotic use on a regular web article, web log or the like… but it may be commonly used on a forum.
And beside, using CSS on this forum… ^^

Re: Ending a blockquote
I didn’t notice she was talking about the forum, not Textile in general.

Lists in blockquotes, blockquotes and code blocks in lists etc. are also common in weblogs. I guess one should just use plain HTML in complex cases instead of Textile.
