Articles Tab: Search

I have a current project where I need to expand the Search Capability (so it narrows the retunred results) on the Article Tab and List.

As you all know, currently we can search by:

Title
Body
Author
Section
Categories
Status

The problem is, these categories still return to broad range.

My ideal world would give me the capability to search by Custom Field. (probably unrealisitc)

I have to believe that others may have come across this similar situation.

Any and all feedback would be graetly appreciated.
