[textile] How to get rid only of the p-tags textile generates?

I had this working at some point but I updated the site a while ago and now that new articles are added, they’re wrapped in <p></p>-tags again. I know that this is the way it works and should work etc. But in my case I have to insert a <span> inside the paragraph. So in brief: I need everything Textile does but it shouldn’t wrap paragraphs in <p></p>. Can someone please tell me where to hack classTextile.php? I just can’t figure it out…

i’ve figured it out and hacked classTextile.php to suit my needs… feel free to close the thread, sorry for interrupting :)

eta, I need to hack textile .php files to insert <div> tags inside textpattern’s <p>. How I can do it?
