2 users editing same article at same time!
nm.. got a good question from one of my clients today – she asked what would happen if 2 people were working on the same article at the same time… and asked if there was some kind of warning system in place.
I did a test using 2 separate browsers and using the same login and it let me do this – but I know this isn’t a solid test.
Could 2 people be editing the same article at the same time, or is there a safeguard against this?

There are no safe guards. If you look at the posts from the last few days here in this forum, you’ll find one where a similar question was asked. Some are considering handling this in a plugin, but you could also go for a plugin like md_versions that stores each version of an article and allows you to roll back to an older version.

Thanks ruud – I’ll look into md_versions and also check previous posts.
I do always do a search before I post – but most of the time, either me, or the person posting the relevant thread, uses different terminology (probably due to lack of understanding of the terminology of both parties) – so I find it hard to find what I need
Thanks for the info though and you will find another donation to the Textpattern development team coming from me soon.
