Check this (already featuring the newest modifications to be released asap): www.horlbeck.info
The images in the right pane, the gallery previews and the gallery itself is all powered by wow_gallery. Nice!

Hi!
I have the same problem as derola in admin panel/
Warning: getimagesize(): Read error! in /home/www/…/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(512) : eval()’d code on line 218

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] wow_gallery - A complete gallery manager for Textpattern
@DiZee, derola:
Sorry, I cannot reproduce this problem. From what’s in txplib_misc.php on line 512, and in the wow_gallery plugin on line 218, it seems like there are four possible reasons:
a) The script doesn’t have access (permissions!) to the folder which contains your image files
b) The “gallery” folder is not named correctly or created in the wrong place (must be in site root, above /textpattern folder)
c) There are no images in the folder/the permissons aren’t set correctly for the image files
d) You don’t have GDlib2 installed
Hope this helps!

Is it possible to create subfolders with images by category in “gallery” folder?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] wow_gallery - A complete gallery manager for Textpattern
No, it isn’t. Please don’t forget that the gallery folder is just there for uploading images into the gallery manager. You manage and organize your images with the plugin, not physically on your server.

When will you release the next version?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] wow_gallery - A complete gallery manager for Textpattern
I have a gallery up and running with on-board means (plus a nav plugin), and now discovered in the very first post above the wonderful feature to order thumbnails in a more user friendly manner than the one txp offers (probably similar to the approach wow_menu offers, clicking arrows for up/down). Before I pull out what’s running fine in order just to see what’s possible with wow_gallery, I’d rather ask two questions:
Is the image ordering list text based or image oriented?
Is it possible to use this administration interface and then link from the thumbnails to pages? I’d need to use pages as there is way too much information to display from custom fields (depending on the circumstances met), so that the caption is no option to store these.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] wow_gallery - A complete gallery manager for Textpattern
howdy, thankyou for the wonderful plugin and the hardwork. I believe I have encountered an error.
I initially had posted a gallery of 8 images and another of 14. With the first gallery I had some problems making thumbails and resizing some oversized images (memory failure) that I had originally uploaded; the last 4, so I went ahead and deleted them. I tried two more images again, but they were apparently still too large, so I deleted them. So, I sized them down on my local machine, then reuploaded them. Now everything does work, but not for long. Once I uploaded the second gallery flawlessly the first gallery or 8 pictures no longer seems to work properly, BUT the second gallery of 14 pictures works completely fine.
Now, my indexes for the first gallery is 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 13 I can click the image to view the larger version, but the navigation arrows do not work (I get an error – Hacking attempt – image ID invalid! Aborting.); also the counter shows “ / 14”, it doesn’t seem to know what the current image index is AND thinks the total image count for the Gallery is the (larger number?) of the two groups.
Perhaps someone can confirm this problem?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] wow_gallery - A complete gallery manager for Textpattern
Hello
I’ve just installed wow_gallery at arkones.org .
I’ve met all of files where it should go but I found it impossible to funcionate the gallery. I even don’t know where I could edit the java script, about which You were talking before :(
The problem is wrong link from thumbnail. You could see it at the pege that I use for tests: http://www.arkones.org/eo/galerio at the bottom part.
At Opera 9.2 it shows only thumbnails. At IE and FireFox it showsneither this thumbnails (but it is not important, the reason could be that I’ve not downloaded plugins for this two explorers that I don;t use).
Where is an error? Why it is working at the gallery admin panel?
Atending respond

I have the same problem to that which tranglos describes
I created everything fine and can upload images individually (via import option “2”). I get the gallery on the page – all fine up to this point.
However, when I want to use the FTP upload option, it doesn’t seem to work.
nighthawk earlier asked some questions to home in on the problem:
a) The script doesn’t have access (permissions!) to the folder which contains your image files
Access privileges: 777
b) The “gallery” folder is not named correctly or created in the wrong place (must be in site root, above /textpattern folder)
It is – double-checked.
c) There are no images in the folder/the permissons aren’t set correctly for the image files
There are – regular jpgs set to 777 as well
d) You don’t have GDlib2 installed
I do – see my “diagnosis” quote:
“GD-Graphikbibliothek: bundled (2.0.28 compatible); Unterstützte Grafikformate: GIF, JPG, PNG.”
So any ideas? I’d love to use this plugin – it’s just what I was looking for but I have to use FTP uoload since I’m going to be handling many, many images.
I would appreciate any hints.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] wow_gallery - A complete gallery manager for Textpattern
Hello, I would like to know if there is current support for this plugin. I have found it very useful but have a few things here and there to make it work perfectly, such as centering the image displayed and how to create an index page of thumbs linking in turn to their individual sets. I know this is explained in the help file but no matter how many times I read it and how many times I go through this thread, I can’t make it work.
Also, is there a way to call the gallery created independently and assign it its proper metatags (title, keywords, etc)?
Finally, I understand the author of this script has already integrated it with lightbox… has anyone else done this and be willing to share how to do it? Thank you!

Dear nighthawk,
I’m in the process of testing your plug-in on a beta site located at www.spanish.makeupbycelso.com but have come to an issue when opening the images or a pop-up where I get the 404 Error. Originally the thumbnails weren’t showing up at all, but I moved the files from the /gallery folder to the root folder and then I was able to view the thumbnails, but the larger images still weren’t showing up.
So here’s my questions:
1. Did I have to ftp the files first, then add the plug-in or does that not matter?
2. Could subdomains be an issue? Doubt it, but figured I’d ask.
3. All permissions have been set, but when I try to edit the plug-in within TXP I get a “Service Temporarily Unavailable” message.
If you have a moment take a look. I’ve been trying to figure this out for days and it is slowly killing me but this functionality helps incredibly.
Many thanks and in the meantime I’ll keep trying to fix it and will post if I come up with a different solution.
